Special Interest Group Meeting (SIG) – Lithuania

SIGS are Special Interest Groups who share interests in a specific geographic region of origin such as Galicia, Lithuania, Belarus, etc. Join us as Jody Tzucker, immediate past president of the Litvak-SIG will explain what one means by Litvak and cover not only vital records, such as birth, death and marriage records, but will highlight overlooked resources for Litvak research and new types of records that have been uncovered and where to find them.

About our Speaker:  Jody Tzucker has been doing family history research since the early 1980’s and studied Russian, German and Spanish at the University of Erlangen, Germany, and University of Barcelona, and later attained a degree in anthropology and geography from Indiana University. She is the immediate past president of LitvakSIG, coordinator of the Suwalki and Siauliai District Research Groups, founder and admin of the Facebook group Genealogical Translations, as well as admin of the Suwalk-Lomza page on Facebook. In addition she is a translator and indexer for LitvakSIG and has indexed thousands of records for the All Lithuania Database.
