Speaker / Program
The thousand-year history of Jewish life in Poland has been marked by periods of flourishing life and development as well as by times of oppression and persecution. The Shoah decimated the thriving Yiddish civilization in Poland that was Europe’s largest Jewish community. Post WW2, Jewish life in Poland has faced multiple challenges yet today Jewish life and culture is rich and resurgent. This talk will provide some historic perspective and insights into current Jewish life, institutions, and resources.
