BIO: Larry Schulman

Larry attended City College of New York where he received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He received his Master of Science in Transportation Planning (degree as Civil Engineer) from Purdue University in Indiana.

 

For many years Larry worked in the US Department of Transportation in the area of mass transit (busses and trains). His last position was as Administrator (Director) of Research in the areas of mass transit. He and his wife Carol of 55 years in Potomac Maryland, have raised three children and have six grandchildren. His years of genealogical research are a legacy for his grandchildren. Life in Florida began about 17 years ago, first as a snowbird and five years ago as a year–rounder.

 

Larry’s Interest in genealogy began over 40 years ago with his daughter’s Hebrew school project requiring information on the family. Now, he manages eight family trees covering his and Carol’s maternal and paternal grandparents.

 

Larry Schulman joined JGSPBCI about 10 years ago. He is currently serving his third year as Treasurer and as a member the Board of Directors of JGSPBCI.
